Amanita recycled silver & garnet fairy toadstool pendant

For me, the Amanita muscaria, with it's blood red cap, is the archetypal magical toadstool of fairy tales. This little garnet set pendant is my version of it.

The pendant :
- measures approximately 2.5 cm x 1.5 cm
- is made from fine & sterling silver and set with a 5mm garnet cabochon.
- hangs from a 18 inch, 925 sterling silver curb chain which fastens with a spring ring clasp. The chain can be substituted for a long black silken cord - just let me know at checkout.

The fine silver toadstool pendant is textured and detailed by hand and set with a 5mm garnet cabochon, then finished with a dark, oxidising patina to pick out the details. The pendant is carefully formed from precious metal clay, a material which offers a more eco-friendly alternative to mined silver as it uses reclaimed silver. The jump rings are made from sterling silver.

Care - Silver naturally tarnishes and care should be taken to avoid contact with liquids and perfumes. This piece is best cared for by gently polishing with a polishing cloth such as the one you'll find included with your order, being careful not to press too deeply into the indentations so as to preserve the dark oxidised detailing!
