To the Mountains recycled silver earrings

These arch-shaped silver pieces seemed to be calling out to become mountain ranges...so who was I to argue? For lovers of the peaks and the hill country everywhere.

The earrings :
- measure approximately 2 cm x 1 cm including the ear wires
- are made from fine & sterling silver
- hang from 925 sterling silver ear wires.

Both fine silver pieces are stamped and hand-etched to depict a tree-topped mountain range overlooked by a rising sun. They are textured, polished to a glossy shine and then stained with a dark, oxidising patina to pick out the detail. Finally, they are finished with microcrystalline wax to slow tarnishing. The earrings are carefully formed from precious metal clay, a material which offers a more eco-friendly alternative to mined silver as it uses reclaimed silver. The jump rings and ear wires are made from sterling silver.

Care - Silver naturally tarnishes and care should be taken to avoid contact with liquids and perfumes. This piece is best cared for by gently polishing with a polishing cloth such as the one you'll find included with your order, being careful not to press too deeply into the indentations so as to preserve the dark oxidised detailing!
