Frosted Rowan Berry recycled silver pendant

I have a real thing for rowan trees and I especially love the berries with their little five-pointed stars! This little textured pebble pendant is my dream of a rowan berry touched by winter's first frost.

The pendant :
- measures approximately 1 cm x 2 cm
- is made from fine & sterling silver
- hangs from a 18 inch, 925 sterling silver curb chain which fastens with a spring ring clasp. The chain can be substituted for a long black silken cord - just let me know at checkout.

The organically shaped little berry has been formed by reclaiming
and melting down little sterling and fine silver "scraps" left from other projects. The pebble is then shaped & textured with a hammer and painstakingly sanded to a glossy finish. A dark oxidising patina brings out the rowan berry's "star", and it is then polished and sealed with a microcrystalline wax to slow tarnishing. The pendant is connected to its chain via sterling silver jump rings.

Care - Silver naturally tarnishes and care should be taken to avoid contact with liquids and perfumes. This piece is best cared for by gently polishing with a polishing cloth such as the one you'll find included with your order, being careful not to press too deeply into the indentations so as to preserve the dark oxidised detailing!
